Last call for coupon books! We still have 3 orders that were never claimed! If your child placed an order for coupon books and never received them, please let us know ASAP! You can email Jen at [email protected] - thank you!
Reading and Writing: This week we are working on using picture cues and beginning sounds to figure out unknown words. We are also working on retelling stories(beginning, middle, and end). Sometimes we have to retell the story without looking at the book. It is suggested to re-read short stories at least once before retelling it. Students must tell at least one important part from each(beginning, middle, and end) but I encourage students to retell the whole story in their own words. We are also reviewing our sight words. In writing, we are working on reading and writing How Tos.
Math: We are practicing showing numbers 11-20 in groups and on ten frames. The key part is separating the number into ten + the rest. We are also still counting to 100 by tens and ones.
Social Studies: We are learning how children are the same and different around the world. We are also learning how people can change and stay the same over the years. Please send in a baby picture for your child for our lesson on Wednesday. :)
