Field Trip Reminders: I will be sending out individual reminders about field trip forms and money for our upcoming field trips. The deadline is this Friday.
Reading and Writing: We are working on re-reading texts. We are learning how re-reading texts can help us with understanding the story. We are also learning how re-reading a text can help us with fluency(reading at good pace with accuracy and expression). We are also filling out beginning,middle, and end graphic organizers after reading stories this week.
We are reading How Tos this week and using them to create things. We are reading a How To this week on how to make a greeting card and we are making a card for our loved ones. If we have time, we will write a How To on how to make a card to a friend.
Math: We are working on counting to 100 by ones and tens. We are also working on identifying more and less between two groups of objects and by two numerals.
Social Studies: We shared our pictures and writings about how we have changed from being a baby. Later this week we are going to talk about new responsibilities that we have now that we are older. We are also going to make a timeline with pictures about important events in our lives.
