Updates for this week:
End of Grade Performance
We sent graduation tickets home in homework folders over the weekend. Please take them out of your child’s homework folder if you have not had the chance to. We included 3 tickets per child. Please use or toss the extra tickets.
Our End of Year Kindergarten Performance will be on Wednesday, June 26th from 1:30-2:30 in the Gym. After the performance we will have a quick presentation in the classroom.
What are we learning this week?
We are continuing to rehearse for our end of year performance. We are excited for our families to see our show!
Reading and Writing:
We are reviewing short and long vowel patterns. We are also practicing our fluency with reading fiction and nonfiction stories.
We are working on persuasive/opinion writing this week.
Math: We are still adding and subtracting with numbers 11-19 this week. We are still building our fluency in addition and subtraction with facts up to 10. We are also reviewing all of the concepts we have learned this year.
Science: We are learning how to describe basic information about animals(what they look like, what they eat, where they live, describing body parts that they have, and how they move).
We are working on a mini research project. We are researching a question we have about gardens and garden animals.
