Hallway monitors will need to arrive to school by 9:10 am on testing days and should be registered as volunteers.
Testing should be completed by 1 pm on ELA testing days and 12 pm on math and science testing days.
As a hallway monitor, you can read a book, draw, knit, or work on a computer/electronic device. We simply ask that you make sure hallways are quiet to ensure that we have the best testing environment for our students.
Volunteers will also be provided walkie-talkies to contact the testing coordinator or office if needed.
What are we learning this week?
Reading and Writing:
We are still comparing and contrasting two texts. We are comparing characters and story details. We are explaining how the photographs and text work together to teach us information. We will also review sight words this week.
Math: We are still adding and subtracting with numbers 11-19 this week. We are using our strategies that we have learned this year. We are still building our fluency in addition and subtraction with facts up to 10.
Science: We are learning how to describe basic information about animals(what they look like, what they eat, where they live, describing body parts that they have, and how they move)
